The path of Love represents a kind of paradox.  If you look for it as you would look for a path in the woods, you cannot find it.  But if you live Love as a way of life as is developed in this dialogue, you will find that you are on it.  As you approach the Path of Love there are certain conditions that are indicators of the Path, and there are also  indicators of "not path." The experiences are similar to  becoming caught in brambles which is recognized as a "not path" indicator in the woods. The key to finding the Path of Love is to turn all one's thoughts away from your ego.  For investments of the ego are "not path" investments.  But actions that express unconditional kindness, compassion, patience, generosity, forgiveness, and service to the needs of others are all signs of the Path of Love.

The nature of L/love is sometimes confused with its corruptions.  We attach the term "love" to claim a lover, spouse,  children, a nation, a cause, or any convenient external condition that validates us intellectually and emotionally.  Until you recognize that these common experiences are unrelated to, or even destructive of a valid Spiritual Love, they remain unhelpful to your Spiritual health and growth. 

To that extent, you are hindered in your quest to find your path back to GOD, the Path of Love.  The nature of these corruptions are localized in your ego and its projections upon your world of experience.  These illusions are insidious and deceptive to your intellect and your striving for validation if limited to your intellectual consciousness.  The worst case experience you can create is to invest your entire life in pursuit of love instead of Love, with that quest being consistently betrayed by these corruptions of Love

The nature of L/love is further disguised when you hold a mistaken idea or notion for what you seek as Love.  Spiritual Love is neither sexual arousal, nor lust, idealized romaticisum, nor is it the kind of possessive loyalty you can impose upon the "loved" object.  A Loved person cannot be owned. Freedom is the first gift offered to a Loved person.  Until these Truths are recognized and error corrected, those who invest in the mistaken notions of love commit error. Whether such error is innocent or intentinal, they can do enormous harm, not only to themselves, but to their desired person, their families, and especially to their children.  Thus it must be your awareness of the nature of Spiritual Truth that illuminates your Path to Real Love, and directs you as a Spiritually illuminated person away from the mistaken notions of Love.
 

The dynamics of L/love are such that the Pilgrim is always poised on a psychic ledge offering at least two possibilities from which they must and will choose.  One choice, the easy one,  is to descend into the pit of error and depravity, i.e., by investing in the ego defined definitions of love.  Or the Pilgrim can choose to ascend the the upward but demanding path of Love.  This Path first requires suppression of the ego' demands and instead, extending one's self to offer  unconditional Love to others. 

Unfortunately these choices are not obvious, and you are fortunate if you are Spiritually advanced enough to accept and follow the upward call in spite of its constant visible challenges. provided by the ego owned intellect.  It is inconvenient to one's ego needs to to unconditionally serves the needs of others, or to commit to a Spiritual quest or Cause in the face of the sensual lure of far more immediate and pleasurable alternative options.  For then one suffers the ego's constant punishment, reminders of unmet biological and affirmation needs, having to ignore the intellectual rationalization that points to the broad self serving downward path. This is the way that is broad and leads to the emptiness of ego gratification, and the always distant lure of even more convenient and pleasurable options. [Ref Mat 7:13-14]

The nature of Love is such that many tragedies are possible for a misguided seeker.  These tragedies become the source material for many great novels and stories.  But when you become Spiritually quickened, you will be able to pierce the ego's intellectual veil of deception and confusion. 

The well known tale of the Frog and the Princess [not included in OT/MP] reveals a Spiritual truth symbolized by the princess's willingness to indulge the frog with a kiss, thus releasing the handsome prince trapped within.  Alas, the reverse is far more true in experience.  Many an ego driven judgment has caused the victim to kiss a prince or princess, and find revealed a frog. 

You are then empowered to remove the masquerades of Love, and claim for yourself the experience of giving and receiving unconditional Spiritual or Agapic Love.  You will be able to ignore and see behind the masquerades of Love, and identify and claim the Real substance of Love, , the Spiritual Treasures accessible only to a Loved and Loving  person of an awakened Spiritual Consciousness.

The nature of Love as understood by your ego intellect must remain only a theory, an ideal, an abstraction.  Alas, this illusory intellectual state of Love, which you Sacred Soul longingly seeks to recover, must remain forever out of reach.   But once the vision of Spiritual Love is Known,  like the flipping of the Necker Cube, then your energies can be mobilized to become its loyal, loving, servant.  The more your serve it, the more your are on the Path, the closer the Secret to being fully known in as ONE with Spiritual Consciousness.

The nature of Love is a paradox such that by demanding its service for yourself, you are denied. But by turning away from it to serve others, you are embraced.  Love (originating within your deepest Spiritual Self) only expresses as service to others.  The following material concludes OT/MP's discussion of Love. Home is where the heart is, but the heart of the Spiritually blessed is released from bondage to the world of their ego's deceiving overlays.  The experience of "Home" expresses as Peace within yourelf.  It is the "...peace that passeth understanding...."[Phil 4:6-7] Live Love and you find your Path through the thickets of life, and you are a blessing to others and yourself.  As your earthly life ends you are poised to transcend the bonds of earth and return to the Realms of the Primal Dream of the Infant, the Sacred Realms of Light, to  dwell there in the LIGHT OF GOD'S ETERNAL LOVE, perhaps to return yet again to earth in the Blessed Role of Builder.
