You (a Pilgrim) will begin to understand the nature of a Spiritually grounded Ethical Paradigm.  An analogy is created using the mechanical model of a gyroscope that is used to safely fly airplane in the midst of clouds and weather when the pilot cannot have visual reference with the ground.  The Pilgrim must develop an equivalent Spiritual guidance system as a part of her/his C/consciousness to navigate successfully in the material world of illusion to make wise life choices. 

The mechanical gyroscope in an airplane maintains a fixed attitude.  The attitude (not altitude) is the airplanes True angle or position of its nose, tail, and wings in space with reference to the ground.  The pilot constantly adjusts the airplane's attitude around its center of gravity.  The attitude changes around this point as the airplane rotates in three dimensions during the various configurations of flight.  The relationship that defines the actual attitude of the airplane in space is detected by the gyroscope's container.  The relationship of every changing attitude of the airplane to perfectly level flight is constantly displayed as information to the pilot who has been trained to interpret it. The pilot must correctly overcome the powerful visceral influences of his senses that argue against the information being presented by the gyroscope.  Only by rigorous training and applied personal discipline can a pilot become prepared to safely navigate through space using only his airplane's various instruments. 

Likewise, the discipline required to act within a viable Spiritual Consciousness is the primary ingredient for building and using an Ethical gyroscope. This Spiritual tool is used to safely navigate one's life through the perils of the physical world of sensate illusion.  The framework for such a Spiritual gyroscope becomes the foundation to insure that one is constantly aligned with THE LAW, the only reference for Perfect Justice in the Cosmos.

A Spiritual paradigm requires that it meet the tests of Spiritually valid absolutes.  The nature of these absolutes is defined by the premise consistent in Mystical frames of reference that Wholeness is good, or contributes to good, and is without negation.  In addition there are other principles or rules within the ground of absolutes that the Mystical Paradigm is designed to meet.  These have to do with defined by and promotion of loving kindness, harmlessness, healing, openness, non-obstructiveness, promotion of trust, non judgment, practice of forgiveness, and service to others as the opportunities are made available.  These are the dimensions of an absolute good. 

In this part of the K&R dialogue, you (a Pilgrim) will be offered a definition of Karma that is a requirement to benefit from the Ethics implicit in a Spiritual Paradigm.  The understanding that follows helps explain why bad things sometimes happen to good people, and why good things sometimes happen to bad people.  This definition ought serve a primal motivation for those with ears to hear and eyes to see,  as we will quickly move away from our blind devotion to the ego intellect.  The ego intellect only serves personal, organizational, social, and national goals of limited worldly utility. These material goals can sometimes act to harm others, even when intended for good, or may actually create some forms of good.  Most often though, these material deeds fall back to create harm for those who unwisely pursue them.

"Karma" will be defined as a Universal Law of cause and effect.  This is a dynamic that only applies to the material world.  All actions come back upon the perpetrator, both good and evil actions.  The Law of Karma can work instantly, e.g., pulling a coiled spring beyond its limit. Or it may require many life times for one who has perpetrated enormous harm. Good actions can offset harmful actions, but because all Karmic causal activity occur in REALMS beyond the best human Consciousness, the human intellect is powerless to asses the functions of karma for anyone in any acceptable way.  However the goal of Spiritual Transcendence is to qualify one's self to escape Karma all together, to earn the right to live entirely in the Realms of Spirit.   To do so, however, at humanity's present primitive stage of Spiritual evolution, is a daunting challenge for any who would so aspire. 

In a Holistic universe, all Laws are everywhere consistent on the same plane of operation, and all Spiritual Principles everywhere apply. In this part of our K&R dialogue, you (a Pilgrim) will begin to understand how the dynamics of Karma are consistent with known principles and laws of science.  There are no discontinuities in the Universe, only illusions of such that are crated by our inadequate perceptual and rational capacities. 

The nature of the Mystical Paradigm requires that its  Principles conform to Principles of Wholeness because it is a Holistic Paradigm.  Then the premise undergirding OT/MP's Spiritual Paradigm, because there are no discontinuities in the Universe, must also be found consistent with the findings of contemporary science. We should find there consistent parallels regarding the MP's descriptions of the visible workings of  Karma in science, and the Principles by which Karma which manifest in the actions of humanity.

In this part of our K&R dialogue, the natures of Karma and Reincarnation are shown to be consistent with the Metaphysical meanings of Christian Scripture.  The fact is that this significance was lost after the earliest church fathers (the Gnostics) were persecuted and removed.  Those apostolic successors who steadily took over the control of the church after the original disciples, actively worked to expand and protect their secular power over their congregations.  In support of this material goal, they ruthlessly suppressed and redefined for their own self serving convenience the True (Metaphysical) meaning of the original Gnostic teachings. Their affirmation of a wrathful God and the certainty of hell  for those born to sin served their power and control agendas very well.  Congregations of intimidated worshipers lived in fear of this wrath of God as implemented through the priests and clergy.  Nevertheless such secular editing and redefining can never alter the underlying validity of the original Spiritual Truth. 

The evidence is clear, even at the level of mental consciousness, that the evils people do cannot be, and are not always punished in this life.  Further, those whose presence have been a blessing to others are often seen as being punished themselves by undeserved tragic events in their life that seem most unfair. 

Therefore, the accommodation of the Perfectly Patient and Perfect Justice inherent in Karma usually cannot be limited to working its justice in a single lifetime.  Many lifetimes may be required. Each person who makes himself victim to adverse Karma must catch on to their own role in directing the events of their own life.  Further, constant good Karma is a distraction from the Spiritual need to transcend Karma altogether and escape the net of ongoing material births. The following elements of OT/MP suggest how Karma and Reincarnation work together to bring the Soul to full Spiritual awakening. 

The existence of the now widely reported Near Death Experiences (NDE) provides additional evidence that the absolute nature of life is permanent and evolves through continuous cycles of change.  The nature this change alternates through cycles of experience in the material world with time spent in the Spiritual dimensions of the Cosmos (the Realms of the Super Conscious.)

The validity of NDE has stood the test of constant attacks from the scientific, and from fundamentalist and orthodox religious communities. They cannot, within their limited intellectual paradigms of reality, refute the relentless consistency of documented NDE experiences by increasing numbers of persons able and willing to report such experiences.  Equally important, because there are no discontinuities in the Universe, NDE is found to be complimentary with other aspects of unfolding human C/consciousness.

For the same reasons that the nature of Karma must be and is consistent with the Holistic framework of the Cosmos, the Reality of Reincarnation is essential as an instrument through which Karma acts, and through which perfect Justice is assured and delivered.  The relationship between Karma and Reincarnation is now being investigated and developed by numerous workers in medicine and science.

Both scholarly, and the public's growing acceptance of NDE, Karma and Reincarnation, are being helped by the rapprochement of metaphysics with the hard sciences.  Beginning near the last decade of the 20th century, the orthodox materialistic paradigms of science began to break down in the growing presence of persistent evidence that their models were incomplete or invalid within the larger Holistic Planes of Spiritual Truth.  This section of our dialogue on K&R presents the nature of some of these Mystical challenges.  Paradoxically, with the growing rapprochement between science and Spirit, it is science that is tending to define and validate for those persons still trapped in their ego intellect the presence and power of Mystical Truth. 

One of the most relentless demands of corporate America is their insistence on the removal of every form of regulation that exists. In meeting these goals they have been successful by electing to pubic office those political hacks who are ignorant of the Cosmic nature and role of regulation. 

The declining quality of our way of life, the growth of various expressions of social dysfunction, are both directly and indirectly related to their success in achieving and maintaining such destructive goals.  This section of our dialogue on K&R shows the interactive nature between regulation and system stability in the context of the Laws of Karma and Reincarnation.

In the following part of the K&R dialogue, the concept of "unfoldment" as presented in our first dialogue on C/consciousness is reviewed.  Unfoldment is a universal dynamic that describes the ongoing nature of the Cosmos.  Unfoldment is ongoing  within the individual from before birth, and from birth until beyond death.  Every living system, including groups, organizations, institutions,  societies, international collections of societies, and the whole of humanity itself are all in the process of Spiritual unfoldment. 

This path is uneven, and depending upon the nature of the system of interest upon which you focus your attention, Ethical C/consciousness ranges from rudimentary to elegant.  As developed in this section of our K&R dialogue, in every case, the unfoldment of a Spiritual Ethics begins by being anchored in the primal elements of the person's or system's ego. It is grounded in the system's Karma, whether an individual, organization or as his/her society.  The social context (larger embracing system) nurtures each individual or system as Spiritual Consciousness either unfolds, languishes, or is inhibited.  These factors are now developed for you to understand how they determine any system's potential for a viable Spiritual Ethics.  Such an Ethical system is a requirement for long term health, well being, and survival.

You, a Pilgrim will begin to understand why the future of humanity depends upon how we understand, accept and implement a Spiritual Paradigm.  "Acceptance" is not defined only by an intellectual understanding, but by Knowing, and by the change in life style that defines the actual commitment to live a Spiritual life.  This achievement is necessary for each member of the public to accurately assess the adequacy of their own Spiritual Consciousness. 

Each must accept the need to build a Spiritual Gyroscope to serve as a guidance system, one based on an Ethics defined by Spiritual Principles, Ethics that influences the roles they choose from our material way of life.  Only then can they act to begin corrective and healing interventions where required.  In that context, based on existing models (e.g., Kohlberg and Wilber) a hierarchy of ethical C/consciousness is defined.  You can place where you are on this hierarchy.

In the following discussion, the elements of the allegory of "Job, the Man with Seven Lives," will be used to make more visible how to evaluate the events of the world in which you participate, shape, or observe.   The intention is that instead of being a helpless observer, or victim, you will be able to use your unfolding C/consciousness to guide and nourish positive, Spiritually valid, interventions from those points of influence to which you have access. 

Regulation in the context of the  evolution of human system is affected by the unfolding of Spiritual Consciousness. Regulation is essential to meet the requirements of an open system, that which is essential for survival. Regulation is essential for the quality of a system's life as well as its continuance.  Without regulation, the death of the system quickly follows.

To fool around with regulatory processes is to fool with the literal health and life of that system, and also those adjacent systems that are linked to any system of interest being meddled with.  Insight from this section can have profound implications for how you observe, participate in, and help orchestrate future regulation of organizational, institutional, and governmental entities.  Regulation in conformance to the Laws of General Systems Theory and the Spiritual LAW of the Universe is relevant and essential for all aspects of any Living System as affected by constructive and stable social policy and politics.

The debate on abortion is well documented in American Society since Roe v Wade (1964) gave women the right to privacy in matters affecting her body, and the right to choose.  The arguments against abortion are grounded in religious orthodoxy that rise from ego grounded intellectual systems of belief (not facts.)  Like perceiving only one "wall" of a Necker Cube [See Dialogue 1: On C/consciousness], those with only concrete HIP competence [definition] in the abortion arena cling desperately to their need, as an agent of their God,  to prevent others from choosing abortion.  Regardless of evidence to the contrary that their beliefs may be destructive to the quality of human life they want to protect, they have even killed to achieve and enforce their objective. 

During this period they have relentlessly and sometime ruthlessly attempted to impose their beliefs on the rest of America by repudiating our Constitution's mandate that the laws affecting church and state be kept separate. (You cannot serve both God and mammon.") This sub dialogue on abortion argues that the the so called "right to lifers" are mostly interested in an ego inflamed power trip to deny the rights of others to follow their own hearts and Spiritual guidance regarding the choice of abortion.  The Real significance of abortion is a Spiritual matter, not a religious one. A mother's  decision to either have or refuse an abortion will be better served when undertaken with a complete knowledge of the Spiritual dynamics in OT/MP that requires an adequate understanding of the dynamics of K&R.  Likewise with the choice of an sickly or incapacitated elder or any seriously disabled person to demand euthanasia. 

You (a Pilgrim) are introduced to a snapshot of a portion of the life of an 11th century Buddha Master who exemplified the search for Spiritual awakening. He confronted he same same Spiritual challenges faced by Buddha himself.  These same challenges now lie before you and every Pilgrim awakened to the participation in the required sacred journey that is open to us.  These are also the same challenges each of us face from where we are in our own unique perspective on life. 

In this presentation you ought to be able to place your own life to recognize the similar nature of challenges you have faced and presently face.  Through understanding the trials of Milarepa, you should find deep personal insight and incentive to take on those Spiritual challenges with confidence as they present themselves to you.  First, you will more accurately and reliably grasp the Spiritual nature and significance of these challenges.  Then you will be more empowered to meet them whether now, or when they confront you later in your life.

Use this Summary to reflect on your expanded understanding of K&R and place them in the context of each of the prior dialogues. That is, Meditate on K & R with regard to: the nature of consciousness, the nature of the three major traps of ego, and the ultimate corruptions of ego which express in unregulated power and control agendas so as to culminate in the ultimate depravity of the power monger. 

From this synthesis, in the context of an understanding of the nature and dynamics of K&R, you are ready to enter the final dialogue on the nature of Spiritual Love. Love is the only viable solution to resolving the current problems of the world at each level of human complexity, from yourself, through all higher social systems to complex international systems.  This scale ranges from you (the individual) through family, group, organization or institution, through your national society to the evolving systems of international governance and influence. 

Without the nurturing and healing Presence of Spiritual Love among the architects of the future, all intellectual models will be found to be ego vested, and therefore to some extent impoverished  Then they will spawn dissension and conflict, will create adverse byproducts, and will be inherently unstable and enervated, subject to control mostly by the ebb and flow of secular power struggles, either wholly or in part.  Far more preferable is being able to implement the ways and power of Love, which lies within us as our ineffable Spiritual Connection and Bond to the Spiritual Cosmos.
