GUIDEPOST 1-1: METAPHYSICAL NATURE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

The introductory dialogues just concluded presented a summary of the array and depth of problems that our society must soon resolve if social stability is going to continue for very long into the future.  The resolution of those problems first depends upon an awakened and vital Spiritual Consciousness among those who offer to be the problem solvers.  This dialogue begins to develop the definitions of C/consciousness, and how it affects your life.

Concepts of C/consciousness undergird both the intellectual and Spiritual foundation of OT/MP.  You will acquire a useful understanding of the nature of C/consciousness (Spiritual Consciousness compared with biological and mental consciousness) as used in OT/MP. The nature of "how" to do a task is lodged in the intellect (consciousness), but full access to the Wisdom for knowing "why" is only lodged within and through an awakened Spiritual Consciousness.  The awareness of the nature of ego consciousness and its slave the intellect with its limited and limiting versions of truth, must first be placed in the context of an embracing Spiritual Truth. Only then can the problems of humanity be accurately and completely assessed, and cooperation and collaboration among diverse groups be assured, and workable interventions be designed and implemented.

THE PERSON WHO KNOWS HOW CAN ALWAYS DO THE TASK,
BUT THE PERSON WHO KNOWS WHY WILL BE IN CHARGE.

GUIDEPOST 1-2: CONSCIOUSNESS DEMONSTRATION

At this point, the nature of challenges to consciousness as evident in the allegorical stories can be emulated and demonstrated through the use of the "Necker Cube" phenomenon." What follows as a strictly visual experience is a total alteration of perceptual and mental consciousness.  This demonstration is central to understanding all that follows in the MP.

Then the same principle will be applied to comprehend alterations of mental and Spiritual C/consciousness involving complex ideas, values, and beliefs.  This kind of alteration of C/consciousness is required to penetrate information and social complexity and reveal the hidden Wisdom dimensions. Wisdom is required for adequate understanding and problem solving. You should also be able to intuitively understand how life changing transcendental experiences, those that must occur at the Spiritual levels of Consciousness are analogous in Principle to the simple mental alteration of consciousness experienced in contemplating the Necker Cube.

Guidepost 1-2: The Concept of One
GUIDEPOST 1-3: THE CONCEPT OF ONE

The Inquiring Mind is directed by the Mystical Protagonist to play a scientifically valid mind game. This game has as its goal to awaken the intellect to an awareness that every living thing is literally linked with every other living thing in the "INVARIANCE" [from science] or MIND OF GOD [from Metaphysics.] Upon completion of the game, selected evidence in support of the demonstration and assertion that we ae all ONE is provided.  The organization of universal structure and processes create a nested hierarchy of interacting energy-information fields leading to their highest known biological manifestation as human life. Each human being is a portion of the COSMOS perceiving a portion of ITSELF. The Inquiring Mind is then shown how unfolding human C/consciousness has manifested itself as a progression of prosthetic extensions of its material senses and body.  This progression increases in both subtlety, complexity, and elegance until we achieve the sophisticated technology of today.

Then this information is shown to be mirrored in the intellectual unfolding of concepts that require language labels of matching subtlety and sophistication.  They persist and are passed on to others.   By labeling any concept, from simple to complex, these labels or symbols limit the concept even as they help to define and describe these realms of unfolding matter-energy and information we experience as intellectual consciousness.

Guidepost 1-3: Three Levels of C/consciousness
GUIDEPOST 1-4: THREE LEVELS OF CONSCIOUSNESS

The explicit differences among biological, intellectual (mental) and Spiritual C/consciousness are introduced.  As you become more familiar with these differences, your vision of your reality will begin to take on broader, more empowering, dimensions.  In our discussion of these three levels, I will focus on sufficient detail to show you the context each level has in relationship with each other.  This Holistic context will be the frame of reference for OT's MP.

First, I focus on nourishing your intellectual (mental) consciousness to empower you to make the first intuitive leaps to Spiritual Consciousness.

Second, I offer worldly contexts for you to begin to exercise your power to use Spiritually obtained information. You can begin to apply this information to interpret the significance of events in your life, to potentially transform your life in positive ways, and to help identify and resolve your problems. Further, you can become more effective from your point of influence as you act to enhance the problem solving potential at the family, group, organizational, and society wide levels of system complexity.

GUIDEPOST 1-5: ERAS OF MANIFEST CONSCIOUSNESS

Most persons in the electorate whose decisions are based on the state of their C/consciousness more than their intellect, are unaware of the nature of C/consciousness.  They understand consciousness as a simple dictionary definition.  But actually, humanity is in a third stage of emergent consciousness.  The three stages are:

Mechanistic concepts of consciousness
Wave theory or relativistic concepts of consciousness
Non-local energy information fields as the foundation and framework for C/consciousness

Because of the widespread ignorance of C/consciousness, especially Spiritual Consciousness, the public cannot resolve who they are in Spiritual terms.  Because they are not aware that they are on a journey of expanding C/consciousness, that cannot define it or direct it.  This makes them vulnerable to becoming victims of it.  The growing threat to social stability is due in part to this defect has ben documented in the three part introductory dialogue.   When they are victims, they elect incompetent or evil public governance, they create unhealthy relationships, they wander aimlessly among the pitfalls of life.  But especially where the nature of emergent Consciousness is understood, then they are empowered to more accurately detect the conditions in "the world" that affect and have implications for their good.

GUIDEPOST 1-6: SUMMARY OF THREE KINDS OF CONSCIOUSNESS

You have concluded the theoretical comparison of three kinds of C/consciousness: biological, intellectual and Spiritual. But these only become relevant when applied to your life.  The table below shows the systematic difference between the three levels of C/consciousness.

The table can help validate your understanding that Spiritual Consciousness must first be facilitated by the disciplined management of activities occurring at the intellectual level.  Meditation is the central skill required to do that, to begin at the mental level which is use to prepare your focus so as to facilitate the unfolding of your access to Spiritual Consciousness.

This level must be applied to focus the discipline of concentration in The Silence that is only present during deep prayer or meditative practices. The Reality of The Silence cannot be grasped, manipulated, or seduced, by any any kind or amount of intellectual activity.  Spiritual Consciousness is only reached through emptying oneself and surroundings to the stillness, by "one pointed concentration" on "nothingness."  This state is reached by completely stilling of the intellect and the feelings it releases.
