GUIDEPOST I-1:
Meet the
Mystical
Protagonist
and
InQuiring
Mind
A Guidepost will precede every major subsection of the MP
Goal:
you (a Pilgrim)
are introduced to the "Inquiring
Mind"
and the "Mystical
Protagonist."
They will debate the scientific, metaphysical, and political
challenges
presented in OT/MP. You will be offered some initial reasons:
that
justify your taking time to learn an innovative Mystical
Paradigm which is designed to develop and enhance the Spiritual
(not necessarily religious)
quality of your and your loved ones' lives,
why
current internal threats to our way of life are not
fully visible
for what they represent, and are not getting the attention they require
that
can enhance the quality of your assessments and decision making in
response
to challenge and opportunity
for
the urgent necessity for improving the Spiritual
(not necessarily religious)
quality of our corporations, institutions, governments and society,
that
define the nature, scale, scope and intensity of the ego
intellect as a primary
source of our problems
that manifest everywhere in today's world.
that
reveal how and why the MP can help you address the wide variety of
national
and international threats to your and your family's future
well being
as outlined in this three part Introductory Dialogue.
Unless these challenges to the
declining quality of our way life are well under way to resolution
within
the first decade of this 21st century, the quality of all of civilized
life may barely be worth living for anyone, regardless of their current
comfort level, beliefs, expectations, and social status. The
why
behind this assertion will be made manifest to those with eyes to see
and
ears to hear. Once the rotting infrastructure of any bridge,
building,
or any physical or
social structure
begins to collapse, noting can stop it, and disaster is everyone's
reward
for prior neglect, the innocent and guilty alike. "Those
with ears, let them hear." |

| GUIDEPOST I-2:
The differences
between Consciousness
and intelligence
Objective:
A major thesis
in the Mystical Paradigm (MP) is that the concepts of "intelligence"
and "Consciousness"
are fundamentally and profoundly different. The public is
largely
unaware of their crucial differences. The MP asserts that a
significant
number of our problems, their intractability, and their costs, cannot
be
adequately managed by any
intellectually
contrived approach or solution alone. The MP holds
that what
is not first held in C/consciousness
cannot be processed by the intellect, no matter how great the
intellect.
Viable solutions to our wide array of problems and their symptoms is
only
possible from the application of Wisdom
guided assessments and decisions, that reside only in
Spiritual
Consciousness.
This
major objective is to first define the
nature of the differences between the intellect
and Consciousness,
an effort which begins now, in the following portion of this
introductory
dialogue. Next, following this three part Introductory
Dialogue,
the first major dialogue is devoted to developing a
useful
model of C/consciousness that you can begin to apply to practical
applications.
An
estimate is provided below as to the current
state of humanity's C/consciousness
evolution. This status is now seriously biased toward an
impoverished
state of Spiritual
Consciousness.
This widespread lack of an awakened
Spiritual
Consciousness is
introduced as the most significant
root problem and peril to the future of civilization and our quality of
life, and to the literal future of humanity. Here is the major thesis
of
the Mystical Paradigm:
Consciousness
and the intellect
are not the same
Consciousness
can only be informed by Spiritually
grounded information.
The
intellect
without this Spiritual
influence is solely owned and operated by the ego.
What
is not first held in Consciousness
cannot be processed by the intellect.
The
greatest enemy of a society
is a brilliant mind
working in a narrow field of Consciousness.
The
electorate is largely ignorant
of, and therefore indifferent to, this impact of this fatal flaw. |

| GUIDEPOST I-3:
The Conceptual
Path of the Mystical Paradigm
Objective:
as a Pilgrim
you will have the opportunity to explore the Path
of
Spiritual
Awakening that
transcends the limits of even
a genius intellect.
This is an achievement that can only be accomplished through deep
Prayer
and Meditation. Spiritual
Awakening
cannot be seduced, manipulated, or commanded by the human intellect.
It can only be welcomed. However, the intellect can
be used
to prepare the foundation, the ground work for the leap of Consciousness
required to first penetrate the Spiritual
Information Realms and
its empowering Wisdom.
In the
following section, the nature of this
path is introduced, to be further developed in the first dialogue,
C/consciousness.
Then subsequent three dialogues introduce the three intellectual
ego overlays on
consciousness. These
are: agendas,
communication and HIP (Human
Information Processing).
Each of these
ego conditions will be further developed by the specific dialogue
devoted
to each of these topics. |

| GUIDEPOST I-5:
WHY KILLING
IS ESSENTIAL FOR LIFE
Objective:
killing
is abhorrent to the person of elevated Spiritual
Consciousness.
Therefore the thesis
that killing is somehow justifiable under certain conditions
especially
where large groups of people are concerned (genocide,) is nevertheless
experienced as outrageous by those who oppose such killing.
OT/MP
offers such a conditional defense of killing, conditional in that a
certain
context must be present, and then certain prerequisites must first be
met.
Even so,
as OT/MP argues in the dialogue on
Karma and Reincarnation, that there is still a Spiritual price to pay
for
those who plan and execute such actions, even though certain kinds of
killing
can be intellectually
justified
under the limited conditions set forth in OT/MP.

Killing is essential to life

| GUIDEPOST I-6:
SELECTED
MAJOR SYMPTOMS OF PROBLEMS
The "Mystical
Protagonist" presents
an outline summary of
a representative problem-sympton sequence now facing USA and western
technological
societies. These problems include corporate abuse, political
corruption,
and religious abuse and political right wing extremism. These
are
areas in which inadequate or ineffectual attention is currently being
paid
by the governance of these societies because these government are
increasingly
"owned" by the abusers.
The premise
behind this summary of problems is that
no intellectual
solution can be made to work
without a viable Spiritual (not
religious)
Consciousness at work among the problem solvers. Without
a viable
Spiritually
grounded intervention there is no question that the fate of
our civilization
is to slowly and painfully perish. The question is,
which alternative
will be the outcome? Only then can we confront these evils by
a process
that avoids the ultimate fate of death
and disintegration,
to instead, create a fate that leads Consciously
to "death" [of the old] and "Transfiguration
" [into the
new.]
The MP holds that when a person, group or
nation obsesses over a
problem or problems, e.g., corporate abuse or corporate corruption,
that
obsession tends to energize them. On the other hand, to ignore them by
pretending they don't exist, is to risk becoming victim to
them.
The MP states that any problem or array of problems should be bluntly
acknowledged
for the Reality they
represent, but then they
should be surrendered to the Spiritually
grounded
processes that will be developed in subsequent dialogues.
Unless this
array of problems is dealt with from a
Spiritually
grounded Holistic
Systems approach,
no viable or stable solution or set of solutions will likely emerge in
time to save the United States of America from the fate of every prior
great world civilization. Fate by default is death and
disintegration
instead of Transfiguration
into a rebirth
that has been freed of such problems. We confront
our moment
of Truth in this first
decade of the 21st
century. However, as we now stand at the precipice of
significant
social disintegration, we observe it is business as usual in the status
quo of predatory capitalist America. |

| GUIDEPOST I-7:
BASE PROBLEMS
OF CORPORATE ABUSE
Objective:
The function
of this section is to provide only a summary of representative
corporate
generated problem areas now afflicting America and western
societies.
After the electorate examined the candidates for the 2004 election,
only
a few were fully aware of these problem areas that contribute to the
social
pathologies growing in our society. Those many who did
suspect, have
no means of assessing their concerns in any useful relationship with
each
other.
These
visible pathologies include family conflict
and child and spousal abuse, street crime, violent gangs, corporate
crime,
corporate abuse of its workforce and customers, failing educational
systems,
gross political corruption, and the increasing betrayal of those young
people. They believed in the myths of capitalism, invested in advanced
professional education and skill training because they expected America
to deliver on its promise to them. However, more and more of those who
committed to hard work and discipline in order to be rewarded in the
marketplace
of capitalism, now find themselves denied even the right to
work.
The electorate rejected those who had potential to cope with the
problems,
and instead reelected the root source, the George W. Bush
Administration
and it international corporate machine.
The
following areas of pathology in capitalist
America are only intended to be a sketch, a "picture-by-the-numbers" of
the scope and depth of threats now being visited on America by
corporations,
the lawyers who feed at their trough of corporate and personal power.
You may provide other, perhaps better, examples.
But the
purpose of the following presentations
is only to have you place these interacting problems on the alter of
your
mind, to then see how they can be addressed by the seven major
dialogues
to follow, to see how much more clearly they and their interactive
dimensions
can be detected and understood, and to suggest what coping strategies
are
going to be required to correct and heal them.
Best of all, you may discover what healing and correcting role you can
play. |

| GUIDEPOST I-8:
RELATIONSHIP
OF SOCIAL PATHOLOGY TO COMPROMISED SPIRITUALITY
Objective:
undergirding
problem factors must be detected and assessed correctly and completely
before healing and correcting interventions can be successfully
designed
and implemented. However, to do this requires that the
C/consciousness
of any observing person, or social system, have the minimal Spiritual
Consciousness required
to correctly detect
and evaluate what is
Really
going on. That is, the observer must have a model of
R/reality that
incorporates access to the Reality
only made possible by an illuminated Spirituality.
That Spiritual quality is seriously lacking across western society in
general
and America in particular.
Spirituality
is not necessarily related to religiosity.
As will be shown
in other dialogues, some manifestations
of religion are actually harmful to one's Spiritual health.
The following
section introduces some Spiritually related qualities which when
absent,
diluted, or compromised by the ego
intellect,
confounds our ability to even detect, let alone resolve and heal these
problem areas. Thus we fail to recognize the appearance of
material
illusions and deception in the information provided us by secular
authorities.
Nor can we respect the urgent need for regulation in human
organizations
and other social systems. The
overall decline in a
society's Spiritual
character is a major symptom that the society is dying.
That a society so afflicted cannot even recognize, let alone address
this
situation, is of course, why such a society is doomed to death and destruction,
not death and Transfiguration.
Religious fervor
is NOT evidence of Spiritual
Consciousness.
For a society to
manage its change by death
and Transfiguration requires an elevated Spiritual
Consciousness in a
critical mass [Note]
of
the public. The seven major dialogues are designed to empower
you
to understand and implement such a healing model from any vantage point
in society where you find yourself. |

| GUIDEPOST I-9: RELIGIONISTS
AS A MAJOR EXAMPLE OF THE CORRUPTING POWER OF EGO
Objective:
OT/MP will
argue that human Spirituality
is harmed when a Spiritually healthy religion is transformed into to
one
dominated by the ego
agendas
of its custodians, its priests, clergy and managers. The
transformation
of the highly Spiritual
Gnostic
Christianity as taught by Jesus, His apostles, and His immediate
successors
were relentlessly transformed during the first 500 years of the
Christian
church to principally protect and serve the ego
driven agendas of its
controlling bishops
and priests. They ruthlessly acted to purge the church of all
of
its Gnostic symbols,
texts and advocates. This very brief summary is offered here
to help
achieve three important objectives set for OT/MP:
to
suggest how the noblest achievements of humanity can be quickly
corrupted
by the insidious nature and power of the unrecognized and uncontrolled
power
and control agendas of the human ego
to
provide a foundation for why right wing Christian politics today is
Spiritually
compromised and devoted first to serve the power
and control needs of its clergy, principal activists, and
their
right wing political allies.
to
begin the argument that any religious practice that
is focused on
serving secular expressions of ego
directed power
and control are potentially destructive to the cause or
movement.
These practices are the visible effects of corruption, and
possibly
evil, but only for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.
As will also be briefly presented, the destructive power of the
ego can be found even in contemporary resurrections of
the original
Gnostic
Christian and Mystical
religions. These revivals
began in the last decades of the 19th century. These examples
are
provided to show, that even those who are advocates of, and devoted to,
the healthy expression of Spiritual
Truth
can themselves become vulnerable to their insidious
and destructive
ego needs for power and control. The
following
discussion will begin to suggest why the most nobel and promising
causes
of humanity can go astray and sometimes bring on more evil than good. |
