GUIDEPOST 6-15: A SUB DIALOGUE:
ABORTION and EUTHANASIA  MUST BE SPIRITUAL, NOT RELIGIOUS, DECISIONS
Repeated from Dialogue 6: Karma and Reincarnation

The debate on abortion is well documented in American Society since Roe v Wade (1964) gave women the right to privacy in matters affecting her body, and the right to choose.  The arguments against abortion are grounded in religious orthodoxy that rise from ego grounded intellectual systems of belief (not facts.)  Like perceiving only one "wall" of a Necker Cube [See Dialogue 1: On C/consciousness], those with only concrete HIP competence [definition] in the abortion arena cling desperately to their need, as an agent of their God,  to prevent others from choosing abortion.  Regardless of evidence to the contrary that their beliefs may be destructive to the quality of human life they want to protect, they have even killed to achieve and enforce their objective.

During this period they have relentlessly and sometime ruthlessly attempted to impose their beliefs on the rest of America by repudiating our Constitution's mandate that the laws affecting church and state be kept separate. ("You cannot serve both God and mammon.") This sub dialogue on abortion argues that the the so called "right to lifers" are mostly interested in an ego inflamed power trip to deny the rights of others to follow their own hearts and Spiritual guidance regarding the choice of abortion.  The Real significance of abortion is a Spiritual matter, not a religious one. A mother's  decision to either have or refuse an abortion will be better served when undertaken with a complete knowledge of the Spiritual dynamics in OT/MP that requires an adequate understanding of the dynamics of K&R.  Likewise with the choice of a sickly or incapacitated elder or any seriously disabled person to demand euthanasia.

NOTE: the author is neither approving nor disapproving
of the legitimacy of abortion or euthanasia in the following sub dialogue.

This sub dialogue continues within Dialogue 6:
The Dynamics of Karma and Reincarnation

Mystical Protagonist:  Now I will challenge some popular views on abortion and euthanasia because the debate illustrates a principle I want to build on.  The conflict over abortion rights and the right to die provides a helpful example of the confusion between religious issues and Spiritual issues. This is a result of western civilization's widespread unawareness of the concept of Spiritual Consciousness.  Zealots of certain religious persuasions uniformly condemn the act of intentional abortion. They also condemn the desire of a person whose life is "used up" to die with dignity.  They become extremists who are determined to impose their religious grounded beliefs on all those who disagree. They do this in the face of evidence (invisible to them) that a spontaneous abortion, one that occurs as a natural response to adverse biological conditions in the woman, placenta, or fetus, must be the expressed will of GOD, and that the will of GOD can also act through the actions of humans. They ruthlessly act to deny death with dignity in spite of a person's body being unable to sustain even a minimal quality of life. [Re the classic tragedy of Terri Schiavo.]

They do this because they believe the God they worship as a matter of their faith wants or accepts that humanity should suffer unnecessarily when the nature of their disability denies them the capacity for fulfillment through service to any useful purpose, as determined by the needs and will of the dying person.

But they reject the thought that death with dignity or an intentional abortion under certain specified conditions can, under those conditions, also serve the will of GOD.  For the sake of argument here, I assert that both spontaneous and intentional abortions can serve as a Spiritual  fulfillment of Cosmic Law, or GOD'S Will.

InQuiring Mind: : Well you certainly do have a gift for the outrageous?

P:  But let me assure you. In this brief sub dialogue, the assertions I will make will require you to apply the Principles you have learned from the MP.  More than your intellectual capacity to evaluate using the Principles of the Mystical Paradigm (MP) are required.  You must begin to also apply the Meditative dimensions of the MP.  In this added dimension is the secret for improving your capacity for sufficient Spiritual Consciousness to fully comprehend any ego or material confusion.

Therefore, I present the following discussion to challenge you, to create an incentive for you to strive for greater Spiritual (Holistic) awareness in these momentous areas of deciding about the lives of others, whether an elderly or disabled human, or a marginally equipped fetus.  Namely, an adequate understanding of the Spiritual principles surrounding abortion and euthanasia requires your assiduous involvement with all of our dialogues that we have already shared. The sum of the information in them will prepare you to grasp the inner meanings, and their implications, behind our following discussion. You must meditate in The Silence to find the real inner meaning of what I am about to say.  For, now, as an intellectual exercise, at least tentatively accept what follows in this dialogue even if it may still appear to be outrageous for you.

The Abortion Debate:
I will develop the following assertions [click an icon to go directly to that subsection]:

sdsthe act of abortion under certain circumstances is a valid expression of GOD's will.
then,  right wing anti-abortion zealots and their political advocates are more interested in power and control over the decisions of vulnerable women and their families than in fulfilling any legitimate Spiritual Principle.
further, in prior dialogues, I have presented to you the "three traps of intellectual consciousness." These traps block the material intellect from processing the Holistic Spiritual implications of any statement outside a narrow range of predetermined values unique to each person. These are values which may be irrelevant to the intellectual challenge, or be seriously flawed from the perspective of Spiritual Truth.
most parties to the abortion debate, including scientists, can agree that life begins with the conception of a fetus.  But that fetus may not be a Human life.  Nobody, not scientists, not the Pope, not the Chief Rabbi, not Jerry Falwell, not Pat Robertson, not any clergy or advocate for any religion KNOWS when the human Soul first occupies the fetal body.
"For the life of the flesh is in the blood; [not at conception] and I have given it to you for making atonement for your lives on the altar; for, as life, it is the blood that makes atonement...For the life of every creature—its blood is its life."  (Leviticus 17: 11,14)

"...however, it was believed that ensoulment occurred at the time of “quickening,” around the fifth month of pregnancy when fetal movements first are easily detectable. Abortion was a serious sin only after quickening."   [source, also source]
there are serious Karmic implications for those who meddle in the abortion decisions of others
Q: Hold it right there. You dare say that the same Christian God who said not to kill suddenly finds abortions desirable?  You say that the pro lifers you call "zealots" are, well, possibly evil?   Do I understand that you are going to advocate abortion?

P: I want to make it clear that I am not advocating any position for or against abortion at this time.  I will take a stand on both abortion and euthanasia by the conclusion of this sub dialogue. You will be better equipped to understand my position at that time.  I am simply stating, for now, that there is a Spiritual defense of both abortion and euthanasia.  You can decide on the merits of that position as our discussion proceeds. Abortion is seldom desirable, but sometimes necessary.  I will show why the zealots on both sides of the issue can function from a limited Spiritual Consciousness, and both can sometimes act from evil agendas. By the way, recall that I have already defined "evil" in Spiritual terms. [review definition of "evil"]

Abortion as an Expression of GOD's Will:
To begin with a helpful explanatory analogy, we have been taught to think of the womb only as a biological instrument solely designed to nourish and bring forth life. But in fact, while the very idea may be outrageous for certain of those right wingers who call themselves "pro life,"

the womb is also designed to terminate life in accordance with GOD'S LAW.

That is, when the biology of the fetus becomes unfit for optimum physical survival of its body as a proper instrument for a human Soul after birth, then in response to such unacceptable anomalies, the Spiritually generated and monitored chemical electronic interaction between the womb and fetus detects these abnormalities.

An "anomaly" is in fact defined with reference to Information only found in the fields of the Super Ordinate Spiritual Intelligence beyond normal human consciousness.  As I have developed, each of us is embedded in this larger Spiritual Information matrix, and from it we are formed in GOD's likeness (as in a mirror, but through which we can only see darkly,) i.e. in the likeness of the GOD who has created the fetus.  You should be equipped from our prior dialogues to correctly understand this assertion at the present time.

Any anomaly between the fetus and its womb is defined as an unacceptable relationship with the eternal LAW or condition of Spiritual TRUTH.  This TRUTH functions to define and direct the development of the fetus. This TRUTH constantly validates whether the developing sheath of flesh is fit or not fit as an instrument for a human Soul.

Our sheath of flesh, the physical body, is only the biological instrument for a Soul to express in the human form. The Soul forms the body it inhabits. The fundamental tenants of orthodox Christianity hold consistently, that the "I Am," which names our unique Spiritual identity, acknowledges the Spiritual Truth of each of us.

But "I am" is not our physical body, it is our Spiritual body. A fetus thereby defined by GOD as biologically unfit to survive as a viable and productive human life on earth will, in the absence of human meddling, cause the womb to produce a spontaneous abortion or still birth.

With abortion and death, the unfit physical vehicle perishes, but the ever perfect Soul is spared for its ultimate rebirth in a more fit human vehicle. The relevant facts that support this assertion are either out-of-the-consciousness-of, or have been conveniently ignored by those who are trying to legitimize their power agenda's efforts to dictate decisions about the fetuses of other human beings who are also instruments of GOD on earth. The pro lifers also intend to violate the birth parents sacred right, of self-determination, i.e., to control the procreation of their own genes into the future.

The Urge to Control Abortion is an Expression of Pathological Personal Power Needs:

Q: Are you saying the "right to lifers" are on a power trip?

P: Exactly. A big time power trip. One whose goal is nothing less than to directly block and replace the sacred dialogue between the affected individuals and GOD. Recall our discussion of the agendas and the baboon society where the primal male kills the offspring of competitors. The link between that scale of depraved actions and the right to lifer's goals is subtle, but nevertheless present.

Q:  But the right to lifers want to spare the fetus, not kill it.  So, doesn't that fly in the face of what you have been arguing as a defense of abortion?  It seems pretty blatant to me.

P:  One must see beyond the religiously defined material goal of "sparing" a fetus, to understand that their motivation is not rooted in Spiritual Truth, but in their ego's power and control agendas.  Such religion grounded material arguments do not necessarily speak to the ethics for either the desirability or denial of abortion. They speak only to argue that the anti-abortion zealots are anchored in and apply their own private religious beliefs to justify their controlling agendas in the face of Cosmic arguments to the contrary.

Q: Well then.  What are the arguments to the contrary.

Abortion Framed in Terms of the Ego Overlays of Intellectual Consciousness:
Blind service to personal power agendas in service to their human ego is the root evil.  Instead of allowing nature to take its course, as defined by the kind of human arrogance that can appear in the form of a massive invasion of the woman's and fetus' bodies by medical technology, a marginal fetal body is forced to survive, and sometimes successfully.  But when this meddling fails, the fetus often survives with cruelly devastating consequences for the quality of its subsequent earthly life, for the lives of its parents and family, and even for the larger social systems that must ultimately become partially accountable for it. [One example of blindness induced in premature infants due to standard medical practices.]

The doctors, bureaucrats and "right- lifers" then walk away, leaving the devastated family to cope with the adverse result.  Medicine only celebrates its successes. Many physicians traditionally leave the area when their patient become irreversibly terminal, or damaged.  Likewise, the anti abortionists also walk away from the destructive fallout they would make every family and unborn defective child vulnerable to.  You don't much hear about the anti abortionists offering to support and care for the fetal mistakes they insist be born.

Those who would perpetrate suffering in the name of "right to life" are neither accountable, in worldly terms, for the costs of surviving to the fetus, nor to its parents, nor to society for that marginal "success."  But they are unaware that they are accountable for the damage in Spiritual terms.  You don't see large numbers of pro lifers lining up to accept the damaged byproducts of such invasive practices. A defective fetus whose birth weight is measured in ounces is coerced to survive. This is an affront to the natural course of GOD's LAW.  It becomes an affront to GOD'S LAW because uncorrupted Spiritual LAW would have otherwise insured the abortive death of such a fetus, thereby freeing its Soul to enter a more fit vessel for its earthly assignment.

Q: You would never dare to say that to any of the religious zealots I have observed.

P: We see in their aggressiveness the fruits of an inadequate intellectual consciousness rooted in an impoverished Spiritual Consciousness. The zealots in their religion grounded knee-jerk opposition to abortion (and euthanasia) have also inflamed and condoned the acts of those who have killed physician/nurse providers of abortion and their patients. This is supposed to be in the name of "right to life," but as defined by their anthropomorphic God and its self serving material values.  They are the kind of humans who would enforce on others their God's value system, and their theology as the first, last, and only truth.  They represent the same class of Spiritually defective humanity that the Islamic militants fall into.  They justify not only inserting themselves in the lives of others to insure there are real victims to a denied abortion, but even go so far as to silently condone the murder of those who oppose their views. There is much more to this that is not simple.

When the Human Fetus is Actually Ensouled is NOT known as a Fact:
Another seldom spoken dimension in the abortion debate is the unstated premise of the right to lifers is their presumption that the fetal body is ensouled at the moment of conception.  All that follows in their advocacy is based on that premise.  But that premise may not be correct.  There are following arguments held by many as to when the Soul enters the human body:
at the moment of conception
prior to conception as a Spiritual force that brings the parents together  in fulfillment of a Karmic destiny
at the moment of "quickening" or once the fetal body becomes filled with blood
'For the life of the flesh is in the blood; [not at conception] and I have given it to you for making atonement for your lives on the altar; for, as life, it is the blood that makes atonement...For the life of every creature—its blood is its life.'  (Leviticus 17: 11,14)

"...however, it was believed that ensoulment occurred at the time of “quickening,” around the fifth month of pregnancy when fetal movements first are easily detectable. Abortion was a serious sin only after quickening."   [source, also source]
when the fetus is sufficiently viable to survive the birth process
days or weeks after birth when the newborn demonstrates sufficient viability to survive.

Regardless of one's commitment to a personal belief or statement of faith, NOBODY KNOWS THE MOMENT WHEN A FETUS ACTUALLY POSSESSES A VIABLE HUMAN SOUL.

For any person to impose their personal belief as to the viability of a human soul on the values and beliefs of others is and act of supreme arrogance, one that is fraught with adverse Karmic implications for such a controlling person.

Karmic Implications for Meddling with the Abortion Decisions of Others:
Q: But it still appears to me that you are promoting abortion.  But what about those abortions that are undertaken solely or mostly for the convenience of the parents who simply don't want the economic or emotional burden of a child right then?

P:  Yes, that is a point that will be immediately advanced by right to lifers, and also regarding any intent for euthanasia for a loved one. .  In their limited material reality, they have to believe that an abortion is primarily to serve the convenience of the parents, or euthanasia to serve the convenience of an applicable spouse or relative.

But the Reality is something quite different.  I'm sure you will have trouble accepting my assertion right now, that even those abortions or euthanasia "for convenience," given certain qualifications, can be understood as being consistent with the Spiritual Principles that fulfill GOD'S LAW.

Q: I must consider your claims for now, since I don't seem to have a choice, but you certainly have my attention on this one.  But you said you were not going to take a position on abortion.  Still, it sure sounds to me as though you are advocating abortion.

P: I have only represented one side of the Spiritual arguments that defend intentional abortions under certain conditions.

Q:  What is the other side?  What defends the position that intentional abortion is bad if not evil.

P:  The answer to your question lies in the dynamics of Karma and Reincarnation.  For reason of Karmic justice, to purify a Soul of a putative parent who has earned an evil Karma because of his/her persistent negative actions in this life, or in a prior life or lives, such a Soul may be required to experience the kind of adverse life created by having a biologically defective child born as an "inconvenience," or with any kind of affliction a less than perfect birth can provide.  Likewise, being forced to care with disabled elderly can be for the purpose of Karmic adjustment, or to develop Spiritual character.

Q: Who in their right mind indeed would accept such a choice if they did not have to.

P: Nobody, in their right mind, would accept such a choice if they had a more positive alternative.  But notice, we should not be dealing with the pragmatic ego mind hereWe should be dealing with the Cosmic Mind, with Spiritual Truth.  Do you want to live and move and have your being in a framework of Spiritual Truth, or of worldly convenience at the cost of learning and experiencing that Truth?  It's the Faustian bargain.  Do you remember  the allegory of The Master Power Broker and His Victims in Three Scenes?  [Revisit]

Q: Yes. But then who decides in the Real world?

P: The nature of the decision is a constant negotiation of the involved human Souls with the Cosmos (GOD.)  Not only the fetus, but the Karma of the parents are also involved in the choice.  The parents themselves may have a Karmic debt of substantial proportions.  Resolving that debt may be facilitated by wanting to take care of a physically or mentally defective child, or one born to "inconvenience."  There is no such thing as a Spiritually defective child.

This is why many parents who undertake to accept the burdens of raising such damaged children frequently report the abundant Love expressed by these children born with serious birth defects, like Downs syndrome children.   After their initial dismay and coping challenges, they grow to report that seeing the ordeal through turned out to be a profound blessing.  Their growth of Spiritual Consciousness is the Spiritual blessing that indicates their successful resolution of adverse Karma.

Q: So then, the decision to abort does not only involve the practical matters of coping with a physically or mentally defective child.  It also involves making decision that best serves to create positive Karma, of both child and parents.

P: Correct.  But do you see the ego trap of the intellectual mind present in that confrontation of such choices.  The ego mind is always pragmatically self centered. It always chooses the easy way out.  By making the choice to avoid a Karmic adjustment that may be past due, they only condemn themselves to reap an even greater ordeal in the future, or a longer running series of ordeals to teach them the required Spiritual lessons that are always disguised within such Karmic options.

Q:  Then the pro lifers are not just meddling in the material life of the fetus they think they are serving.  They are also meddling in Karmic forces and a decision about the fetus that ought only concern the incoming Soul and its potential parents.

P: Correct.  But in their ignorance, they remain oblivious that their own Karma is hostage to their actions. How dare the right to lifers, consumed with their own ego driven lust for power and control over the most primal and Spiritual rights of others, intrude on those sacred decisions.  But they resolutely do.  They will.  An they will continue to do so until they realize what they doing to themselves.

For as they force unwilling parents and children  who are marginally equipped for earthy life to endure what they are not required to endure in terms of their own Karmic debt, these intruders set a Karmic trap for themselves.  They put themselves at risk to receiving their own "inconvenient" or marginally fit child, or the precipitous premature decline of their own parents under conditions that force them to either become caregivers, or take responsibility for the financial burden of care by others, or to choose to contribute to their premature deaths.

Q: What then, is the bottom line?  How would you actually state your position on abortion?

P: Abortion must be a choice decided on by the incoming Soul, its putative parents, and the Spiritual Principles of the Cosmos.  No third party has a right or duty to meddle with such decisions in order to mandate their personal choice, or to serve their own power and control agenda.  Influence?  Maybe.  Advice?  No!  Mandate?   Never!

Nor dare the medical establishment decide for they are the ones who offers technology in exchange for enormous profits derived from the economic and subsequent personal and social suffering of those affected. Such acts do not affect the material world of the religious zealots who stand on the shaky platform of their narrow vision of fear based  religious truth, a position only found localized within their narrow sectarian groups.

Q: And is this position in support of choice also true for the debate surrounding euthanasia?

P: Yes. Exactly.  Only the concerned Souls can make the correct choice, for them Therefore for a fetus, the parents, advice by medical resources, and a trusted representative of their source of Spiritual influence have the right to inform them regarding the affected fetus or compromised child or adult..  Only those who are awakened to Spiritual Consciousness are likely to make the best choice for all concerned.

Regardless of how it appears to an uniformed and Spiritual lacking observer, the choice on either abortion or euthanasia must be either yes or no. The chose will be correct or wrong based on all applicable Spiritual Truth, not material facts, i.e., those Karmic needs and debts of the involved Soul and its putative parents must be served by the decision, not the ego's of sectarian religious zealots.

Q:  I can see the trap for the limits and costs of simplistic or concrete HIP competence again. [from Dialogue 4]

P: For the Spiritually challenged, the choice must be either or.  There are far larger issues at stake than the meager interests of the incoming Soul and its putative parents.   Here is a clue.  In defending intentional abortion under certain narrow conditions, we must consider that GOD will take care of the entirety of humanity and the entire Cosmos.  The universe is consistent in considering factors far beyond the specific ego grounded issues that affect a particular fetus and its potential parents.

Remember, [from part 2 of the three part Introductory Dialogue] the Cosmos is prolific in all life's forms. I argue an apparent paradox in the face of this disturbing pattern, namely, that the same GOD that does indeed LOVE us unconditionally as our Spiritual Truth, also quickly sacrifices our material bodies in support of larger objectives.  It is always "GOD's  WILL be done."

Yes, you and I as physical instruments of GOD's ultimate purpose on earth are expendable (i.e., subject to being terminated or aborted as biological life, but never as Spiritual life.) The leaf is always sacrificed in the interest of its living tree, and the tree is sacrificed in the interest of a viable forest, and the forest is scarified in the interest of the larger ecology of the biomes.  So to is a soldier likewise sacrificed for victory in battle and so too will humanity be most certainly sacrificed in the larger  interests of Gaia (the Soul of the earth) if and when required.

Q: You make me feel really vulnerable.

P:  Only your material goals and personal convenience are vulnerable.  When GOD acts from such Cosmic necessity, those of us who feel abused, do so only from our pathetic narrow frame of ego defined self interest.  We are abused, hurt, and we cry or curse.  We die when the call comes.  If we don't perish as a fetus, then right after birth, or as a child, or we die from a teenage hazing or drinking accident, or during child birth, or from a middle age stress attack, or killed in battle, or by crime, or we come at last to the tottering enfeeblement of old age where life flickers out in a final gasp of futility in service to the greed mongering medical establishment that consumes every last penny of the dying person and his/her family's resources.  But it makes no difference to the Soul!

Thus while our sudden death may violate the emotional needs and convenience of our loved ones and friends in terms of their ego's earthly interests and agendas, whenever and however the call comes, our departing Spirit is released to serve a higher cause in other more effective ways.  Here is a glimpse of an answer to the question why the good die young.  Our earthly presence is sacrificed for a cause far higher than our most noble visions of our own purpose in life. Is this outrageous too, or what?

Q: Yes.  Awesome. I can't believe it, but I'm beginning to see the practical light behind all this esoteric Spiritual stuff.

P: Good!

The Euthanasia Debate:
P:  Let me conclude the digression by focusing specifically on the dynamics of euthanasia.  As you will note, much of our prior discussion on abortion applies likewise to the debate on euthanasia.

Impact of Abortion and Euthanasia on Gaia as a Cosmic Placenta:
P:  Now I pose the following questions to you:

Suppose, that Gaia, our earth, is only created to be a Cosmic placenta for the birthing of human Souls.  Do we not  surely need to Love it, cherish it,  and serve its needs?
But what if the earth, by the certain consequence of GOD's TRUTH, continues to be betrayed by its nearly out-of-control humanity, and thus suffers an aborted death?  Suppose our Gaia is still-born into the Cosmos.
If our souls are created solely for the purpose of serving a Spiritual assignment and cause far beyond our most advance human Consciousness, what happens if this Cosmic Placenta is destroyed by the collectivity of undisciplined, out of control, and Spiritually empty  human egos?

Unchecked Population Growth as a Causal Factor in the Death of Humanity:
P: As developed in Part 2 of the three part Introductory Dialogue, the immanent death of our Cosmic placenta is being caused by the ruination of Gaia's ecosphere by industrial poisons, the rape of its pristine wilderness areas, the soiling of its oceans, and by the despoliation of all life forms due to the root cause of massive unchecked population growth.  It is this growth in service to human egos that creates the destructive by-products required for the support of over population. All these conditions are the fruits of willful human arrogance. All this can terminate us as a specie even before we get to the horror of an all consuming war using weapons of mass destruction.

Q: That won't happen. It can't. We'll figure it out in time. We've already begun.

P:  Ah! Ha! There's that hopeful arrogance again! Who is this "we," and what does "figure it out" mean? Cigarette manufactures continue an enormous struggle to sell their demonstrably poisonous and destructive nicotine products even in the face of more than two decades of scientifically objective evidence that wholly condemns their filthy product. Their employees earn their livelihoods as they shamelessly serve this evil cause.  Investors buy stock expecting to profit from it.  The filth is now being marketed and exported to third world nations eager for a nicotine fix.  Our national and state politicians align themselves to help their evil cause in order to get and stay elected without the first twinge of shame being evident.  Imagine the Karma that ripens for them!

The current Republican administration (under G.W. Bush, first appointed in 2001) is rolling back as many of their advances in protective legislation for the environment and other human causes as fast as it can, and as much as it can get away with.  This trend does not only affect the environment, but a variety of policy and programs that affect other expressions of human well being and even freedom itself.  But the majority of the public who vote are the same persons who spend money for a lottery ticket when they have less than one in 6,000,000 chances to win, or worse.  This is demonstrated Spiritual emptiness.

Q: What does that have to do with abortion or euthanasia?

P: The compromised ecology for human life prior to birth, and after birth through out life,  will produce an increase in both potential for abortion and euthanasia.  There will be more case of marginality in the human fetus, and early demise due to environmental caused illness and social stress.  The challenges as to accepting the desirability, and even necessity, both abortion and euthanasia will greatly increase.

Q: So the religious right, with its "pro life" stance, in their Spiritual unconsciousness,  conspires to cause a premature or spontaneous abortion of the very earth on which they live.  But if Gaia is a viable Soul, she can also act to save herself and humanity?

P: Yes!  As I demonstrated to you in part two of our introductory dialogue, we find that will expressing through the various apparently disconnected but interrelated movements to heal the ecosphere.  ON the positive, growing interest in prayer, which when properly applied acts to raise Spiritual Consciousness, and efforts through projects such as OT/MP contribute to that instinctive effort to link those of awakened Spiritual Consciousness to collectively make a difference through these healing initiatives. The test of humanity's qualification to survive is the test of mastering our free will to serve only Spiritual Truth, not the self serving ego agendas now dominating our religion, politics, and capitalist way of life.

During the 1970's the CBS television network presented an extended series of outstanding programs they called, Can the Environment be Saved?   Professor Herman Koenig (then Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences,) at Michigan State University, during a faculty wide colloquially he directed on systems thinking, observed that CBS was posing the wrong question.  The correct question he argued was not whether the environment can be saved, because as he said, "the environment will save itself." The correct question he argued then was,

"What species will remain as part of the environment?"

Q: So your telling me that there is no pre scripted "Hollywood" ending to this problem of Gaia's premature death. But haven't we made a beginning?

P: Yes. But the urgent need to save a dying planet is so much more subtle and comprehensive than what gets our immediate attention. Altruistic goals always get drowned out by the noise from ours and other's immediate ego agendas. How much do you hear of internationally coordinated population control initiatives since the books by Paul and Ann Ehrlich [1974] and others?

Q: Few I guess.  I know that China established a policy several decades ago to limit families to only one child, and boy, were they attacked by the capitalist and religious right.

P: Nevertheless, China has brought its population growth under control through family planning and Draconian measures.  [history of Chinese population control You may call the meager handful of those who are in the process of Spiritual awakening, and those few who already serve as members of various causes devoted to save and serve humanity a "beginning?"  Perhaps. But ought not those who achieved these insights insist that as a human civilization, regardless of what nation, set our priorities and make our decisions in light of this worst case possibility?

Like any infection in the human body, there comes a point in the unchecked growth of the infection where no manageable intervention is possible.  The person dies. So you can ask:  Are we in terminal denial?  Is it too outrageous to even contemplate?  Since we humans surely "see through the glass darkly," we can only with much effort glimpse the nature of revealed TRUTH as processed and distorted by our sense driven ego mind.

The most damaging errors are those that are intentionally designed to serve the convenience of human exploitation by the power brokers and power mongers.   Now we must quickly come to earnestly believe, profess and desire that life is, must be, and will always be defined and decided by the R.A.W. Principle:  That regardless of our personal causes, the larger Reality defined as TRUTH will Always Win.

The choice of an abortion must be influenced by Cosmic Law, GOD'S LAW. It is only though an awakened Spiritual Consciousness that anyone can become empowered with insight to decide and act with Wisdom.  Only then can our mental consciousness become empowered to act wisely in our REAL interests (not our ego interests) and for the greater interests of all of humanity.  This completes our discussion of Spiritual factors associated with abortion and euthanasia.
